Go Up Go Down

Today was the maiden voyage for my new GPX 5000. Among the bullets and penneys I found this beautiful nugget but I don't know how to test it to see what it is. I guess I should say, if it's not lead it's beautiful...

It's quite heavy, non magnetic. The metal appears almost black, with a little crystal on the end of something different. The bit on the end looks like maybe gold, copper or pyrite. I'm guessing the mass of the nugget might be silver but is there an easy way to test it? I set it on a quarter for some scale. Would I lower the value of it if I took a dremel tool and polished off the oxidation?
Thanks

WOW! The blue color indicates silver to me.

The White Oxidation's in indicative of Lead Oxide.

Selsun Blue shampoo will turn silver a cool cobalt blue.  Sulfides it.  Easy to revers with baking soda and aluminum foil.

Any AlkaLine like Red Devil Lye will Destructively Attack Lead ,Zinc and Aluminum. (Due to weight, we know it's not aluminum)

Galana is a lead silver ore but what you have is not The same crystal structure.  I think if could be a Natural silver nugget.

Sorta Rare!

If it was my toy, I would knock of a nob on the end and check it out.
