I managed to get an hour or so in before it got dark at a new park for me. The Tot Lot was sand! That is where I found the small ring....don't think it is gold. I plan on returning to there as it is close to the house and there is more to MD there. A large sand vollyball court and lots of very old trees to detect around. I mostly played with the settings in the MXT.oooooo, I was brave indeed!

Not too shabby for an hour's work. I've made a resolution to put at least an hour a day into the hobby with at least 5-10 hours a week swinging the detector. Today was a research day.
