Go Up Go Down

On July 5th I went to one of our local beaches.I headed for the fishing pier and of course started finding
clad all over along with the usual trash. Then I hit on a normal belltone and thought I had a quarter.Instead
up poped two pennies stuck in some encrustation. Below is the pictures I took of it. Im really not positive
on the other coin being a penny. It is so badly covered you cant make anything out on it except of the coin
shape. It is about the same as the ones  in the July issue of W&E Treasures mag. I think it is a pretty cool find.

It is definitely a cool find. You have a lot of work cut out for you on that one. Search the forums for information on electrolysis and look in the download area for plans to build one after you become a full member.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Soak the lot in some white Vinegar heated up.

They should pop loose.

I was Ketchup works nicely for polishing coins if you leave them to soak for 24hrs Gl
