Go Up Go Down

Well after a cervical disk issue that prevented me from hunting since December, I'm back at the game!  Rider
MDing was banned in Cook County woods, so I went to the beach on a 94 degrees day. Too hot and humid for MDing under the sun, so I stayed under the trees shadows all the time by a field used for picnicking and playing soccer. It's been a long time not detecting in a beach park, so in a few hours, this is what I gathered: $4.95 in clad, a token, a key, and the save of the day, a .925 ring.  Smiley I used my Pioneer 505 because it's light as opposed to my 5 pounder e-trac. I prefer the e-trac monster finding capacity in the woods and something lighter like the 505 for trashy areas. Both excellent machines. I'm gonna try finishing the area tomorrow, but its gonna be 97 and as humid as today, so we'll see.  Undecided

You are right! Yesterday at the park the hunt was good $11.42 in clad, but the dirt was really dry and hard, and yes I paid the consequences. Some pain in the neck, but nothing serious. I still got to be careful since it's been just 3 months since my neck surgery. Thanks for caring!  Smiley

Glad to hear the Pioneer is still making finds. Sorry to hear about the woods off limits. That sounds rather odd to me. Who cares if you move some squirrel poop around? Anyways, I always envy the guys who has beach and water. I only have beach lol.

Thanks fr looking. Yes, our part of Lake Michigan is rich in gold and silver. If not, ask Ron from Chicago. His website contains pictures and videos of his finds in the lake:

I have the old man disease too. Broken back from working too darn hard. Now I have gained all this weight and hate it. Any suggestions beside starvation to get rid of it? I find the Mekenzi group of exercises help the best. Refuse to take pain pills. Have you tried any PT or yoga?

I too hate pain killers for chronic pain. No, I have not tried yoga, but I have done PT. I do exercise regularly and it helps too. Back pain will not stop me from detecting, but I must admit that it limits me to some degree. Aging is great isn't it?  Undecided
