Hit the beach at low tide here on Galveston Island this morning, a place that Seldom recommended..   Found a bunch of fishing tackle, a few new dimes and pennies, the usual pull-tabs and a gold class ring from Texas A&M.

going out tomorrow morning too..  will be in shorts and wading.  I want to try out that saltwater setting.   Wink

will do, report so far is I like it a lot!  with current disc settings, I sometimes go to no disc just to hear a few iron signals..  That grey gold, (sinkers) really bangs through with a nice high pitch.  been picking them up at 10 inches easy.  trouble is that they go through the sand scoop and try to hide.  went out later and got 3 clad quarters at 10 to 12 inches.  those sigs were pretty faint, but still id'ed solid.

Now that track yea its sad its in the State park lots of silver coins and a little gold come out of there in the 70's

I checked A&M's web site and they have a lost and found for rings.  Left contact info.  The guys name is inside and the year of graduation, so should be able to get it back to him.
