We have a Transfer station down the road from us.

Two Big Butt Dumpsters with a Ramp leading up to them.

Dumping our trash today I seen a old TV in the first one.   Fished it out by the Power Cord so I could use the DEGAUSE coil wire for a Detector coil.   Stuff Works Good it does.


Looked in the Next Dumpster and There was a Flat Screen TV in it.

Snacked it up too.

I was just figuring on using some parts out of it and putting it back next week.

Plugged it in and Low and Behold  it fired up.    26"    Flat Screen Clean better pitcher then the TV I have at this time.

DIGITAL TV READY Now I can loose the Ugly Digital Box on the old TV and take off my glasses.

Only thing I can find wrong with it is the small scratch on the screen 2" from the edge that you don't see when it's on.

God, I wish I had money to chuck out stuff like that.

Way to go Homefire! And thanks for reaffirming my unwinding the wires from old monitors... thought I could build a coil someday if I ever get a few more brain cells to rub together.

Yep, They come in different flavors.   LOL 32,22 and more AWG wire.

Use the De Gausing Coil hidden up around the back of the TUBE.

I have two here 22 awg Aluminum!      Gotta figure out what to do with them.    You can uses Window Heater element goo to make connections on it.

I seem to recall some techs with an avionic firm I used to work for could flow solder on aluminum using Kesters liquid flux.

There is solder for it but for coils the conductive paint over a good mechanical connection works ok.
