Bug you can take it to a jewler and the can tell you, not much corrosion on it to me that is a strong poinnt

Nice find! Gold comes out of the ground looking about like the day it went into the ground, no matter how long its been or the conditions. Highly corrosive soil and even salt water for hundreds of years wont hurt it a bit. A rinse under warm water and tada! its not ready for a showcase, but it sure does look good. So if its hard to clean, its not gold (in my experience so far anyway) But I'd take it to a jeweler to see for sure.
