Well, after many hours of scouring the interweb with no success, I decided to ask my brother-in-law, who happens to be an archy, what he thought about it. He found pictures within a few hours! Should have asked him first, I guess!

The second seems to be a slightly newer version, VIIII.
It was designed as a weight for the quadruple golden pistole of Italy, or the Golden Ecu. The question is, how did this end up in Virginia?!!
