I'm taking my wife out to an old, abandoned ranch site tomorrow. I have 3 fears:
1) she'll have better finds than I do
2) she'll find something heavy to haul back (not too bad of a problem this trip since everything will be fairly close to a road)
3) she'll have a snake encounter.....THAT could end her hunting days since she absolutely can't stand snakes--poisonous or otherwise---and put an immediate end to the day's hunt for me, too. Unfortunately, I've received reports from reliable sources that the rattle snakes are out in force in that particular area.

Hope you find something good to post and find something to distract the missus away from snake encounters, here ours are non poisonous and right now they are on the move from their winter hibernation.
I am sooooo agonizing about going out tomorrow my knee's are still very painful, maybe a few "ADVIL" will help........HH.....Johnnn

wouldn't you know ... the first thing found at the hunt site was a meter+ mohave rattlesnake. To make things worse, it was found less than 10 ft in front of my truck. Fortunately, my wife was a good sport about. Unfortunately, the snake was also just about the best thing found this trip. A whole lot of spent shell casings and bullets as well as enough nails to supply a "habitat for humanity" project.
