One of your pix looks like a piece of exploded shell, I find lots of these fragments from 1812 sites, technology hadn't changed very much between these events interesting finds........HH...Johnnn

No I think it's a base to a parrot or some other shell, solid iron found close to brass piece that is part of shell also.  10" in diameter, very heavy.  Trying to clean it up and good ideas?
