And it turned out to be a doozy.
Was metal detecting a site near Independence, Missouri, when I looked down and found this laying on the hillside.
3.0 inches long by 1.25 inches wide.
One artifact expert as ID'd it being of the late paleo early transitional period. (13,000-10,000 years old)
I texted a photo to my wife about 10 minutes after finding it. My wife said, "Now let me get this straight. You found this with a metal detector?
Best Regards from the Kansas-Missouri border,
Steve Warren
