Found this morning in the surf at Clifton 2nd beach in Cape Town. It was very conglomerated but cleaned up to be a 1962 brass half-cent, now worth 50x more (i.e. 25cents;)

Congratulations for the find.
But is that the same coin on the top and bottom pic? On the corroded picture it looks like that a piece of the rim missing under the ½* spot

Hi there, no the corroded coin is the one I found. The others are to show what it would of looked like in mint condition. I just found it interesting. It came out like a round lump of black rock. This is what was inside:)
