Well done.
What is the size of the wheel? Can you photograph some thing like a match box or a rule next to it?

Shocked Now you got me mate but the object that you have on the top left side is a part of an implement, the wheel is a probable part from a canon, I would think that it was part of the setting for the height or possibly a left to right setting it could even be that it has nothing to do with the Boer War, as you know most of these land are still being used as farms today. Just remember to leave my Kruger coins where you find them for me PLEASE LOL

All the best to you mate
Xavier

Xavier you might be right - the top left might be part of a plough implement although its small. At first i thought it might be a steel plate on the butt of an rifle.

Kruger pounds are still out there but will keep you posted!!!

I had another look at what seems to be part of an implement and I think that I may have one in my store room, will have a look for it. Remember that in the old days they used mules and oxen to pull the implements so they were a lot smaller than the ones of today.

All the best
Xavier

I've found two of those possible farm implements in very good condition aside from the rust. Was curious to what they are and what time period they're from so I'll definitely be looking for an update. Nice finds Kalamazoo!!
