Nice old yards you detected when you found the old cents & silver. You had a pretty good day - even if it was hot! Sue

thanks sue for the reply the yard i searched was atleast one hundred years old and so are the neighbor houses on either side i hope to get permission from one or hopefully both of his neighbors hopefully the yards havent been redone or fill brought in over the years it looks promising you just never know i searched one yard where the house was built in 1830 only to find 3 newer quarters one dime that was clad and one wheat penny that was 1919 i thought for sure i was going to hit it big but it wasnt to be i came to the conclusion that alot of fill was brought in over the years because of the different kinds of soil in the yard but i just like being outside and excited to find older coins wheats silver oh yeah and one day maybe a gold coin i think that id have to retire if that happens because thats the ultimate in my book and untoppable well thanks again for the reply and may all your finds be silver and gold

Searching old homes are the best, odds are no one ever took a detector to them! I find so much more at homes than I do the parks, nice finds, thanks for posting! Clapp
