Nice watch chain and trade token.  I see on e-bay where a token like your in about the same condition sold for north of $50.   The watch chain was probably pretty impressive when it still had it's gold plating and was hanging from the conductor's vest .

I love this old stuff. I found a new Ghost town that I am going to be able to dig at and hopefully  I will have some more to add to my collection...I will be starting there in the AM hope it won't rain Rain...lol

Nice find.
the chain could be silver. Try to scratch the inside of a link to see what is under the patina. you may be surprised

Yes  aussie i have researched the area for months.that piece was located on a logging campsite. I live in a eight mile long and five mile wide area that held logging camps and phosphate mines from the 1800s. its so big i will be long gone before I can ever finish it. In the two years i have been searching here i haven't  even scratched the surface. I pulled up a lot of nice things along with a ton of iron  lol
