Go Up Go Down

I had a couple days off for Spring Break to try my hand at MDing. I joined the forum about two weeks ago and have posted some questions that you guys have been gracious enough to answer for me. I practiced using your suggestions on my outings. Yesterday morning I found 19 clad coins and misc junk. I went to an old farm house yesterday evening and recovered a lot of scrap junk. This morning I went to a park and found 31 clad coins, a 1996 General Mills Olympic Coin, junk, and yes.....my 1st ring!!

Thanks to everyone for your advice, suggestions, and help!

I've attached a few pictures of my finds.

That is a very nice haul. So...how did you do figuring out what you had in the ground? Clairvoyant or Christmas present?

Thanks Poptop. I started listening to my machine for the coins , the quick crisp sound became famaliar. I didn't dig a lot of the 12 to 16 or numbers that would run up and down the scale after I dug a lot of tops and foil. If the signal was real "hot" and  I didn't find anthing in the first 3-4 inches it was generally going to be junk. A coin that hot was usually right at the surface and my pointer would pick it up before I dug.

The farm was blessed with subterranian shrapnel, I just got tired of digging ferrous stuff. The old metal jar tops with a white ceramic lining were the neatest pieces.

For a short answer to your question;I'm non-clairvoient and Merry Christmas, I'll take a gift any day of the week. Ha ha.
