Go Up Go Down

I got permission to hunt around an old elementary school on the weekends. Just from the local info I have gathered it's pretty apparent that's it's been a school since the late 1920's. I was only there for a few minutes, as I was too busy to spend any real time hunting this weekend, but I did find these cool brass play pieces. Took them to the antiques guy and he said, "at least" when I asked if they were from the 1930's/40's. Anyone have a guess as to thier age or what they may be? I think they are play pieces. Antiques guy didn't give me a definite answer as to what thier true origin may be. He doesn't seem to know much about the junk I bring to him, haha!!

Hi Tidewater.. awesome finds there, and congratulations. That's great. I have an idea I might share with you on this... Not sure if you watch the History channel or not, but on Monday evening's they have a show called American Pickers. Mike and Frank go out picking across America looking for old junk. One of Frank's specialties is old toys. He may be able to tell you more about it.. if you're on facebook, you may be able to upload your picture on one of their pages I think.. perhaps someone may respond to that?
Hope that helps.

Tidewater
Don't be to hard on the antique dealer LOL most are experts on one are two things like glassware, furniture, toys etc. and little knowledge of other antiques thats just the nature of the  business.

In the future please put something in your pictures for scale.

Thanks all for the info and suggestions. That would be cool if they were from around 1910. As for thier size, they are the size of play piece for a game board. Like the piece from Monopoly, but slightly bigger.

I'm not being hard on the antiques guy, haha!! He has ALL of the kinds of stuff I bring in, he just doesn't take too much time with me because I'm not selling/buying anything or it's not worth much. I'm going to start going to another place just simply because he makes me feel like I'm "bothering" him with my questions.
