Go Up Go Down

Hi Folks,

This monrnin I decided to head for a town that is about
60 miles from my house. On the way, I pass through a
small town that is half way there. This town is so small,
I never even considered hunting there. Today I decided
to take a look at it.

I found that it has a nice little park, and even has a tot
lot,

{alt}

But what really got my attention was the swimming pool,

{alt}

The really neat thing about a pool like this is that there
is grass on two sides and a chain link fence around it.
The concrete slopes to the fence. The slippery babes
loose their jewelry and the fence makes much harder to
retrieve it. They have to walk a long way to get to where
they lost it. They may not find it.

I hunted the tot lot. There was not much to be found.
The wood chips have been mostly washed away. It had
a plastic mat that I could not get under. But I hunted for
a couple of hours.

Then I started on the pool. I discovered buried electric
lines that just gave my Compadre a fit.

But, I found that when the Compadre gets over a target,
the noise stops and the Compadre concentrates on the
target. It is nerve racking, but the Compadre is amazing.

I was hot, but I found quarters that have been there for
a while. Not silver, but it means it has not been hunted
for a while.

A pool like this will almost certainly put out in time.

This is all I found. But it is only a start,

{alt}

{alt}

After that, I noticed a date on the old school house,

{alt}

I have a fealin, I know where Tabdog may be found this
week end,

{alt}

Cool. Tabdog found a good place to hunt just 30 miles
from his dog house.

Thanks fer L@@kin yawl,

Tabdog

Hey Tabdog, i use to hunt a few places with old schools that looked like that, found many Mercury head dimes. You may even find the 1916-D with that date on that school being 1913. Search that spot good, bet you'll find some Merc's. Good Luck....DW

You sure have a way of finding things. But i think youre better at finding places to hunt to get to those treasures that got me wondering where to hunt.

Now i am learning to go slow down while passing through some places. I've passed through some a hundred time without as much as giving it a glance.

And watch what happen at that area. If there are activities there will be sure things to find.

Thanks for some nice tips.

It seems that all the pictures you post of your parks look very well kept.  A nice, big sign and everything.  Arkie Land must really like to preserve their parks.  Here, our signs are almost gone and the condition of the place isn't too sparkling, if you know what I mean.

That is great, another spot for you to ravage.  Sniff out them rings, and coins!! We can't wait to see the results. Wink Grin

I have asked at many schools. Only one has denyed
permission.

But, I have hunted several when no one is there.

I look at it this way.

If they let people use the grounds when school
is out, then I am gonna detect it.

It is public property. Here school playgrounds and
such may be open to the public. Some are fenced
in and use more security. Those must have
permission to hunt, in my opinion.

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog
