Hi all! From my trip to beautiful Puerto Rico, this is the only piece of silver jewelry I found at a beach. The rest were just bottle caps and pulltabs, even at waist level deep.  Angry. Well, I had lots of fun despite the many rainfalls and the two hurricanes (Emily and Irene) affecting the Island. Lesson learned was that hurricane season is the worst to plan treasure hunting in the Island, yet one that can certainly bring lots of them to its shores. It's then a matter of waiting until that season ends.

As seen in the pics, sea water black tarnished the lost earring badly, but some electrolysis and the magic of baking soda brought its beauty back out. The now elegant earring will be converted into a unique little girl bracelet for my adorable grandaughter  Kiss

Yeah, I guess. I'm certain that there is plenty of fine jewelry lost in all her beaches, it's just a matter of coming across with them. Surely I passed by many of them Wink

Yes, I agree. There is always the learning process and the experience gained in MD. I never detected in water before. Somebody suggested I should've worn a mask to see under water, I didn't have one. I however, tagged many interesting places to MD the next time. I also got relatives that will be doing some research for me and we'll plan a better hunting experience then. I met many great folks willing to let me MD their farms and backyards. Bad weather ruined all of that, but good news is that there always be a next time!  Great. Afterall, PR is my Island and so I can always return  Kiss

P.S. - Found lots of cash everywhere  Great

Yeah, that's the great thing about MD: we make even a rock looks like the best treasure ever found. You've got to love this thing  Wink
