Very Nice piece of history there.  I love those old coins that just scream "History" with their worn look.  They might not fetch the big bucks like an uncirculated coin does but that piece has been used and carried by countless people.  It has been through countless transactions hundreds of years ago.  That is what I love about old coins.

Thanks, I found a 1776 Spanish Reale with a hole in it, and I found out that people used to use the hole to pin the coins to the inside of their clothing I had never heard of that before that I find that interesting.

Thanks, I agree I find it interesting to find something over two hundred years old. I was surprised when the local coin dealer looked up the value in his book and said that the 1792 Spanish half Reale was worth about six dollars. I thought it would be rare enough that it would be worth more.
