Hi gang, went to the lake again today, still fighting a sore hip. Found a nice stainless Steel and black cross almost new and a weight that is about 3" long and some coins. kind of a boring day cant wait to get back in the woods and start pulling some iron.maybe tomorrow.

Hey, captn!  Any finds are better than none!  Nice little cross.  Interesting thing about lead fishing weights, they seem to be abundant anywhere there is water and fish.  I've found them from the beaches of Hawaii to local ponds and streams!  Good show today, anyhow!

Nice finds!

Are you absolutely sure that the cross is stainless steel? If it's marked so, then it is but that nice shiny cross could be white gold, platinum or silver. Sometimes those metals have funny little marks.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Nice finds ther captnbad. I save all the sinkers to melt down for bullets for my other hobby, shooting. that big one would make several. Wink

Thanks wb4rav,I have no idea why anyone would use that size sinker on the lake we were at but we save them all and then list a group on eBay with our other things.
