Go Up Go Down

Had a few hours to kill today, so I loaded up Google maps on the Droid. And selected parks.  The first two parks didn't really pan out. Not digging anything good decided to try another in a more shall we say run down portion of the city. I dragged my whites eagle out of the car and tried to ground ground balance it. No matter what I did. It simply would not balance. Thinking it must be something to do with the location, cuz it was fine at the last two places, I went back to the car and got out my whites 6000.. come to find out, the reason the eagle would not GB was due to the fact the ground is just packed with targets. I have never in my 20+ years of digging came across a location like this. It was soon very clear no one has ever touched this park with a metal detector. I found coins on top of coins next to coins. Absolutely un real. I covered less then a 16th of the lot and pulled up 249 coins.30 quarters,18 nickels,42 dimes, 159 pennys . 16 of the pennys are wheat back. And a badly bent but very pretty white gold ring .  14.19 total in clad. I will be spending a lot of time here to clean out this park. Un real that no one has ever hunted this park...

Wow! You don't find those places very often any more. You'll have to go back for some serious re-work!! Grin
