Go Up Go Down

Sorry, I could not think of another clever W word to use in the title.  Multiple MD opportunities included in this report.
I took my new/used (new to me, 15 years used) Minelab Excalibur out last week when I noticed a negative tide was scheduled in Puget Sound between 9 and 10PM.  I visited a local ferry terminal, found the large links, as well as a brass fixture (under all the pull tabs in the upper right), a quarter, and a severely corroded penny (aka stinkin zincoln).  I learned that my sand scoop needs a mod to make it easier to dig and I need to work on my pinpointing with the Excalibur, I only found about 60% of the items that beeped at me.  Maybe I need a youngster that would be willing to dig in exchange for Treasure??
The remainder of the items came from a local park and schoolyard, where I used my Minelab Explorer II, a token of a young boy and his dog with a number 166 and © HERGE CORNER on the back, clad coins totaling $5.56US   17Quarters, 6Dimes, 7Nickels,& 31 pennies.
An interesting tag on a strap stating 80 years Old - 2007 Hamilton International Middle School found next to a baseball field.
I looked up the school and found they are located in North Seattle, interesting, the tag was found about 24 miles north.
More pictures available if anyone is interested, thanks for looking.  HH Robroy59

Hey... You did well. What is a negative tide? Is that below normal low tide??

Greetings Mudflap, a negative tide is a low tide that goes below the mean tide level defined by the average sea level measured over a period of time.  Negative tides are great for clam digging (if allowed), and MD enthusiasts (like us).  The water level is low enough to expose areas that normally are under water, and would require scuba or hooka equipment to search with a MD.  The big plus in Puget Sound is that you stay dry (mostly), because the water temperature is between 48 and 52 degrees Fahrenheit, year round.  HH Robroy59

Whatevers and Whats it's would have been a better tag, thanks for the enlightenment homefire.
Here are pictures of what I thought initially was a token, I think now it was a pin (broken pin on back).

Cool stuff, Robroy59!  I'm a little envious!

Yesterday I went out with a probe to test the ground and plunged the probe all the way to the handle!!  Yay!  Didn't have time to detect but I thought "Oh boy!  Tomorrow!"  And, of course, the weather decided to dump a big load of snow on us last night, and stay cold all day long today!   Maybe, by the weekend... !        Detecting

negative on the youngster digging for you. It's been my observation in the short time I've done this, they get greedy in a hurry. Poptop!

Contracts poptop, gotta have them little buggers sign a paper, to be all legal and everything.
Doesn't matter that the paper is just a credit card invite from the junk mail.  Now wait just a minute.......
Naw, that would be illegal.  Plus, the greedy ones are the mothers of the little ones, hehehe.
