that is South Africa for you Shocked

Gambol, Tombac is an alloy made from copper 90% and Zinc 10% with a dash of arsenic added to produce the white buttons. The Zinc is what gives the buttons their shine even after being in the ground a couple of hundred years.... They also have a coned back that holds a copper ring which most of the time has gone due to corrosion. I like the idea of the coin buttons Great
