Nice place. The wife and I generally stay about a mile or so down the road from there.

I think I'll take their word for how hot the Lava is. Unless you think we can talk X or Pete into sticking a kitchen thermometer into it for us.

Sorry to hear about your internet problems, X! So are you frustrated enough yet to stick your finger in the molten lava to find out how hot it is? Are you volunteering?

That is an interesting town/area, isn't it BA? I like the town, but I like big, used beaches better!

And Peter, what does the wife have to say about your bird-watching?

There are definitely better beaches to be had on other parts of the island, but especially on the older islands. Did you make it up to Waimea? The wife has a friend who teaches at the school there and whose husband is a Paniolo for Parker.

Arfie, Looks like you had a good vacation. I slept on the beach December 25, 1972...back before they kicked the bums off. I've been wanting to go back ever since but haven't made it yet. Probably won't either. gambol
