Hi, I am looking for someone who has done some beach hunting in the Dominican Republic or even metal detecting off from the beaches.  I speak spaniglish, being self taught in Peru for 2 years and feel confortable with the language even though I know theirs is not true spanish.  I want to hunt the different beaches for 2 weeks in the next couple of weeks .I do know that some locals hit the beaches, and are very good and efficent at what they do, but would love to give it a try as well as maybe hit some areas off from the beaches.

I would love to hear from anyonethat has detected their to find out about the different beaches I have researched, areas or beaches to avoid, security after dark or in the day for that matter,  and any problems with the locals hunting on their turf, ect.

Anything would help.... and happy hunting for 2012 for everyone
