"described his device as a harmonic molecular resonance transducer, which deionizes the ground around buried treasure and allows him to determine whether a treasure is still buried. He said the device can scan a five-mile region."

 Smiley hmm, he's offered a split to the city . . .

Fantastic story Sue !! I think the city should go for it and pay for the back-hoe and extra construction workers to tear up the sidewalk . It will bring back history and stimulate a little Economy in the area . But then again do you think the guy has a screw loose , he says he can scan a five mile radius ?   Shocked   Idiot

HH...........Eugene

McWhorter described his device as a harmonic molecular resonance transducer, which deionizes the ground around buried treasure and allows him to determine whether a treasure is still buried. He said the device can scan a five-mile region.

Sounds like we have heard this story before why not go look for a treasure that's not under a street in the middle of town? Maybe we are watching the birth of a new LRL

If he can prove his ability to contractually commit to recompense the city/town for all actualized costs associated and resulting from such a dig, plus a small premium, if nothing or not enough is found, I'd say it'd be a win for the city/town.  Of course, if what is found exceeds such costs, both the city/town and the hunter wins.
