Make sure you check under rocks, fence posts and clotheslines................  remember it was a long way to town and a lot of folk never trusted the banks...... wonder why?

Hi Lafatlife,
The quarters are all Canadian these I also had in my possesion for recording by pix,
the story is during the demolition of this house they found the quaters first as they were in a cardboard box in an old cupbord, later as the floor boards were being torn up the $10 gold coin was just laying there between the floor and ceiling space.
It is a magnificent specimien, "whish it were mine".........pix of the quarters below.
HH..........Johnnn

What a great story and it is too bad you didn't find them but it is good that they were found by someone.  How did they demolish the house, was it piece by piece?  The only reason I ask is because of where the gold coin was found.  If they use a wrecker you wouldn't know if anything was beneath the floorboards.

Hi Lafatlife,
This demolition project was a "family" affair they took it down carefully because the wood flooring and many other items were very much sought after because of there age and also people want to incorperate such items in "new builds" thats how they found the Gold Coin, we still go out to this place but now only have the fields to hunt and they are full of junk..........HH.......Johnnn

Well if they had coins hidden in the house I wouldn't lose faith on the fields.  People used to bury their valuables and you may just luck out and find a cache!!

I wish you the best of luck with it and hope you find something wonderful!
