congratulations on finding and old and valuable US gold coin.....now how does that prove that the Yamashita treasure is not a myth?   Since there were Americans in the Philippines for 50 years before the Japanese invaded the islands, there were plenty of opportunities for an American or someone else to have lost that coin without it ever once having been touched by a Japanese hand.....and even if it were looted by an individual Japanese soldier and wound up at a Japanese camp, that still doesn't prove the myth.

Still it is a nice coin and I'm glad you found it.  I hope you find more.

Northhunter, that is a Beautiful coin but you have posted this topic on the American coin thread, so I am
a little confused as to why you say it proves Yamashita treasure is not a myth,
But most of all i see your kindness in shareing, and i thank you for that. be lucky and enjoy what you have found
