I also witnessed the appalling way that you were treated there Angry by some of the seiner members, and I'm ashamed to say by one particular member from the UK

Seldom...the Mods there have years of experience but it still happened, not that I am saying it could happen here, but when the Green eyed god comes around anything can happen. I hope Joe keeps us updated, when I last looked on the outher site it had 8 pages of replies....mostly out of flavour questions. Sad

Of course I'm a little envious but what would drive me to be mean to him over that? I'd love finding a CC dollar like that one. The truth is, I have a bazillion finds and a few treasures among them including a genuine pirate chest full of coins (photos posted on this very site!).

This is a fun hobby and made more fun by the sharing of our finds here.

 SmokinJoe,

I am new to the hobby and I'm sure some of the questions I am about to ask are tightly guarded. With that be said, answer as vague as you want. Did you find this in the US? What state? What town/city? What GPS co-ordinance? Only kidding about the last one (two). No but really, was it found in a pasture, river, site of any significance, beach, etc.? Not looking for clues, just wondering the story behind it and how it came to the surface.

I can't wait to hear how it turns out for you. Being new, I live vicariously through the members of this site.

It's hard not to do that with all the great finds being reported.

Cheesy I think that it was one of your best posts, Loved it.

It is true that we do get exited for the members that have a good find and I for one seem to get more exited about it than what the finder does, but jealousy NO I don't think so, envious? Hummm well I don't know but I do hope that one day I will too find a treasure (Big or small)  Smiley  and until then well I'll just enjoy the finds of the other members.

All the best
Xavier
