Go Up Go Down

Got out for a short hunt last weekend(Sat. April 4th). Hoped to kick up some more wheats or maybe even another piece of silver. Didn't hit the piece of silver but did manage 2 more wheats and 46 and a 37. A little clad, matchbox car, and an ancient coin replica token. Shortly before I had to get going I also happened to snag this little guy to bring back to the tribe.

Thanks for looking and HH!

Way to go String!
It's good to see someone finding some keepers. After 2 long days out in the muddy woods and fields my best was a 1925 wheat cent. Maybe next week?Huh?

Hello Stringfrenzy. Thats an excellent find, and looks to be in really nice condition. The only indian head penny I ever found was in my mother-in -laws yard early last spring. This property has been hunted HARD by my wifes 2 Uncles long before I ever started metal detecting. I found mine just laying on top of the ground while I was clearing brush and tree limbs for the first mowing of the year.Frank T.

Hey String
How big are thoes Indian head pennies ?  and whats a Clad ?  Im not from your neck of the woods so I dont know much about US coins .
The only copper we had they stopped circulating it a few years ago , one was a 2 cent piece about 15 mm in size and 1 cent piece about 10mm in size strangely I find more 1 cent pieces than 2 cent pieces but hardly any 5 cent nickel about the same size as a 2 cent piece .
