Wrong color. Platinum does not tarnish.

Looks like old Wedging or Clamping Tool peaces I've seen before.

You can see it's been Beaten and worked before.

Maybe some type of German Silver.    Some will have a Slight Draw to a Magnet.

I have a platinum ring that has never tarnished, but then again it's of PT950 purity, not 60-75% purity. The shape of that piece of metal reminds me of the anvils used by impromptu roadside tyre and tricycle (a motorcycle with roofed open-door sidecar used as public transport) rim repairers in Zamboanga.

Man, that whole damn island must be made of platinum and gold. Every thing they dig is worth a million $$
Looks like either a bucket tooth from heavy equipment or an anvil hardy.
There was a whole anvil posted a while back from the Philippines they said was platinum.

It's just discolour as they put it in burning charcoal and they try to melt it using wood fire for 5hrs, but it's not melting.  They got it with loads of antique chinese plates, kettle, wine bottle, and 18 century coins, (see pics attached)...  Pray  The only thing i wondering is why they cannot get even just a small pieces of metal for chemical test to make it sure if it's platinum.  Idiot  The item location is in philippines somewhere in palawan province. Love this forum  Kiss
Can anyone suggest/comment how to do a quick test for platinum if it's fake or real..!!  Angry

If it was platinum, why would you try to use a fire that woudn't even melt gold? You're really reaching.

It's not platinum. Platinum would not tarnish. It's probably an industrial, stainless steel tool. You said you were interested in buying it. Well, I would not. If you are trying to sell this, stop right now and leave this place.
