This is a very strange item! Made of copper it displays three men that look to be from Mongolia as far as I can tell? They seem to be warriors bearing battle gear and long beards. Some old gold washing remains but almost all of it is gone.

I really have no idea what's been the purpose of this thing and where it really originates from.

I found it in the middle of Bavaria and Mongolia is quite a bit away from here ...

Hm, that's an interesting point. This theme would make more sense as Bavaria has string Catholic influence. However hundreds of years ago it had also been raided by the Mongols. If one is lucky you can still find horsehoes from that peridoe of time. They are significally smaller ins ize.

My guess would be maybe from Ghengis Kahn or Alexander the Great time period.  They both Kicked butt all over Europe and Asia.  So that may explain it being so far from Mongolia.  Just a guess but a great find anyway

No, unfortunately there is nothing which would leave a clue to its origin.   Huh?

Fascinating and a great find too... There are many places in the world that have yet to be explored with metal detectors and with such a great history anything could be found and will in the coming years.  Cheesy
