What your sign means is that at this rate by May 2010 every rock in the Philippines will have been post on this forum .

Why does everything with a mark on it have to meen treasure or something with you people, why can't it be just a rock thats been vandleized, I've climbed mountains and found marks on rocks, here we call it taggin. and it is done by people who do not respect nature or any property that belongs to someone else. With nothing better to do with there time
some People sign on to forums going on and on about this , it NEVER GOES ANYWHERE and never will. If you think it is
something then go and dig it up then you will have your answer that you crave. all the time you waste on here talking
about it is time you are loosing from getting to the truth
We are people not from your culture yet you ask us questions on such things, thats like asking a pearl diver whats it like being in space, because he would'nt have a clue and nor do we. Go and ask your local museums or culture minister
I'm sure they will do a better job than us

John
We have to be a little tolerant of our Filipino friends at times. Remember that they don't have the resources that we do for research so much of their info is coming from word of mouth and family legends. Some will listen when told a rock is just a rock and others will argue till they are blue in the face with you.
Not every Filipino treasure hunter that ask for advice is a conman regardless what some folks would like us to believe most are just looking for guidance. Its not hard to figure out which is which after awhile like the guy that found a ring at 180ft (must have been using a Garrett) either someone salted his site are he is trying to start a scam the best thing to do is just let the thread die.

I know this post is old,but I am a newcomer.
I found exactly the same sign,on a surface rock of a high hill, where a japanese observation post was during ww2.There is another chiseled cut,a square of about 6 inches side. This site was never dug.Just to let you know. This site is in Cagayan valley.
