Necessity!
I have:
1..Been
shot at once!
2..I have been threatened, with a gun, twice !
The only reason I am able to sit here, at this keyboard is:
I was carrying a weapon !
Some DRAG! HUH! ?
In the first case, I returned fire with my
10 shot, 'Scoped, Semi-auto '06 !
In which case, I, hand/reload, to near
.300 mag velocity/power!
I climbed up to the ridge, to see if the "shooter" was hit or still there !
Seems like after he rec'd 10 "Quick" rds in return..
All shooting STOPPED!
Never seen, "hide nor hair" of that dude!
In the other two cases, I was accosted, once in camp and once on the trail.
Who's attitude was one of "You'll do what I want/say or else!"
You should have seen how,
THAT! Atittude changed, when I brushed back my jacket and revealed a stub nosed .44 Mag.!
AND!
Once of those "Dudes" was a "US Park Ranger" ..
Who
HAD! one of those attitudes !
Like, "I'm the law (GOD!) you do as I say" !
Even the guys who were in camp, later remarked at how fast
THAT HOLIER THAN THOU attitude changed, when he saw the I was also "Carrying Heat"...
BIG! Time Too!
His little
9mm was FAR! out classed by my/the
MUCH BIGGER, 240 gr., .44 MAG!Would I have used my weapon, in either case?
Let me just say, I have 30 yrs in the military ...
AND!
36! Months in direct combat !
As a nasty old Jungle Fight'n Marine Grunt !
