Interesting story Bomber, thanks for sharing it Smiley I wondered why Noah's Ark was trending upward on yahoo.

What Wyatt found was also interesting, it was a boat as well which made it obviously the ark. And there are ballast stones in one of the valleys nearby which could only come from the ark right?. So they find the ark whole enough to call it 99.9% (must have had a license plate saying NOAH1) and they release 1 picture of something. Surely any boat you find on Arrarat is the ark right?

Forgive me for being sceptical but I've seen this movie remade too many times. Any moment now the Turks will confiscate thier cameras, film and boot em out. If not do a proper release with pictures and a non biased archaeologist. They probably found the monestary that tumbled down the mountain after an earthquake in the early 1900s I believe. It was supposed to be built from wood from the ark.

And if you believe all the old flood myths are seperate incidents there could be a whole fleet on that mountain. That basic story goes back to the Epic of Gilgamesh.

Noah's Ark, to me one of the biggest 'Holy Grails' in Archeology today.

with that in mind, i would think anyone searching, would see what they want to see, that would account for all of the claims of boat shaped objects on mountains in the area over the years, as being the Ark.

i know i would have to be really convinced of what i found before i made a large public announcement.

being a Christian, i have no doubt its a true story, is it still resting on a mountaintop, or has it been destroyed over time? who knows....if its still around, would it still be up high on the mountains, or fallen to the base, somewhere in between? who knows...has it been found to date? who knows...but if so, congrats and props to them!

we will know someday!

All I can say is keep an open mind. It would be an amazing find if it were truly the ark.

Oh trust me my mind is open, and I don't believe in anomalies only uncatagorized items. First off everyone looks on Arrarat when it's pretty likely not the right mountain but a bad transcription. It's probably one of the most examined mountains in the world.

Any time the word evangelical and archaeology are used in the same sentence I cringe though. People with agendas usually are willing to stretch the truth or require monumental leaps of faith to reach thier conclusions.
