Wise good day to all, it's been a while since the last time i entered here. i've been very busy working. I'd like to share this photo to everyone and i hope i could get a good answer for this. i have nothing much to share except for some unbelievable things that happen along the way. check out this picture, this flower was out for only a few hours then vanished, but it left a trail of odor that is sweet and like cold. it came out from a tree near its roots and nobody knows the name of this tree also. as far as the owner of the lot is concerned, old japanese men come to this place and offer prayers, the most they stay there is half a day or less. but really my friends, there are some things beyond explanation as we say, I only share what my experience are and the rest...its up to you. regards Wise

Interesting flower. Until I read your description and saw the larger picture, I thought it was a night blooming cactus. I have one blooming tonight. It only blooms one night and not open many hours and then it's history. Has sweet trail of odor just like you say. Sue

It's the Yamashita Rose, the real treasure left behind by the General.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

[wise]hello sue, nice to know someone had the interest in the pic i showed. thank you for the info, but i was thinking how can a plant like this of cactus family can grow in the forest where sunlight can hardly reach the ground. The place is covered with trees with branches spreading in different direction. Anyways thank you so much sue, hope to hear more from you. regards  Wise
