Hi The BBS, Detector would be one of the best coin detectors you could buy. There is one draw back it is not very good in the Australian gold fields. It can't habdle the ground very well. Take it to the beach and old parks and where peole gather and it is tops for coins. I have use alot of detectors and I have found the BBS, to be the best. I have alot of old coins fot alot of hours work. Depth is hard to judge as the Pi will go the deepest depending on the soil type and you must dig most targets. the BBS, are good because they cancle alot of rubbish. but the depth is very different. that is all I can tell you. The best way is to get out there and get to know your detector. the more you use it the more you will find. Ken Smiley

Hi aussie, I think the Etrac is very good on coins and not to bad on gold in most places. The GP you have you will find goes alot better for Gold, you have a good combination for humt coins and gold Stally

My deepest was a 1899 silver dollar at 20" while detecting an old dirt road in Charleston, SC.
