Go Up Go Down

Spent the day on a wind swept beach,  Detecting I was just about to give up after a few hours of digging nails and assorted trash I found a 1985, 20 Kibris, coin from Cyprus, I could not stop then and while wandering around that area got a signal and when I dug I found clay a few inches under the sand and the signal was a 1942 sixpence (they have 50% silver content) I was pleased with that but there was a second signal from the hole! After quite a bit of scrapping around in the hole I got a glint of gold first thought Sovereign, but no it was a ?1 coin and a forgery to boot! but for a second or two......  Cheesy

Unfortunately a lot of forgeries about, but hell, just pass it on, everyone else does.
As for the sixpence, great find, hope it was in good condition  Wink , would have made my day, and brought back memories  Cool

Fake  or otherwise still sounds like a great time to me.  Glad to hear you were able to get out and hunt.  I'll bet that sixpence was a rush.
