I just went to Wal Mart and bought a large dog food scoop and drilled a bunch of 5/16" holes in it  all around the bottom area, cost $1.97  drill holes less than 5 minutes. With a bit of engineering I can make a long handle for it, that will come later, and it will be made of pvc tube.  Happy hunting all Grin

Guess something like that would be ok in the dry but wouldnt stand a chance in the water.  I have seen many made over the years and that sand can be tough digging   I have even broke a couple $200.00 SS Scoops over the years but they stood behind them and replaced them....
