25 feet yesterday for depth max.
Not quite sure if I like the positive balance on the buoyancy. Getting to depth, it was clipped to my BC and would float up and keep turning on and off.. slightly annoying.
If the manufacturer is listening.. make a Velcro strap arm clip that would keep it still and in easy reach. If this was your primary MD, and it's big enough to be, this is not much of a problem because you have it in your hand the whole time. Well if you only goal is to find surface change and light rings at 1 inch of top silt... sure. But if you have a primary MD (mine being the Garrett Seahunter II) It is annoying to have this thing floating around your face turning on and off.
It would be better if the head was negative buoyant and the handle was "+", then at least it would not turn on and off all the time if you didn't have it in your hand.
I still think that the Velcro arm clip idea would solve that in a flash.
That was my only complaint!
I liked the big detection head. Easily moves through silt and you can feel not only the vibration, you can feel it hit any solid object.
The Led stays illuminated (when it is on) and flashes as well as vibrates when you are "On Target" Very easy to see and feel underwater.
The tilt on and off.... I am a convert! Very easy to Use!
I would say a solid 8 out of 10 (I think with everything there is always room for improvement)
Price tag is a bit high...but anything with a pressure rating of 100' is going to be
If there is a test that someone would like to to try...besides testing the max depth that is..give me a page
