my version of the home made sand scoop, works well to even in wet sand.........& it was cheap $11.00 total...... Teach

nice....how do you have the shaft fastened to the scoop?  (anything other than cement holding in place).  A here's how I did it over on the "Do It Yourself" board would be greatly appreciated.

Clever idea!!!  Clapp. It seems that all joints were just glued together with contact cement. I wonder if the shaft bends a little when using it in wet sand. Love it!

yes the shaft has just enough flex to help you scoop when you go deep as of a foot or so, you know like a spring effect, helps in the wet stuff......... Cheesy
