I seen some one hunting for record crocks down there on TV.

I can't remember, I think 20 or 22 feet?

Damn big lizard!

I don't know about that?

That 45 ft Crocodile tourist attraction looks like it can take a fair sized chunk of tourist dollars from the wallet.

New Plan!

Down yonder you don't have Coyotes but you do have Dingos!

I plan on doing there thing .

They call it shitting and Getting!

As they run away they poop .

Yep! that's what I plan.

But as the Crock are sight hunters it may just be feudal.

Maybe I should don a Explosive  Vest and pull the pin as I get chomped?

Hummmm......"3.5 crocs/kilometer of riverbank" you say. TH-ing in that environment is sort of like texting on the cell phone while driving on an east coast freeway ar rush hour !!!!....... Sooner or later your gonna get bit.

This isn't a safe cosy tot lot I detect in. Been stomping around the wilds of Borneo for the past 25 years; been chased by pygmy elephants, spat at by cobras, shoved aside by a rhino, rammed by wild boar, attacked by 2 sunbears, had my hat knocked off by 2 falling trees, had my gumboots and socks ripped off by floodwaters as I hung on to a tree, fallen about 40 feet due to a landslide and all this was in the normal course of work, not metal detecting. No BS here. The most harmless thing was an orangutan who tried to throw poo and tree branches at me (it missed).

Call me fatalistic; I have a healthy respect for wildlife, but if I get bit by crocs and/or kick the bucket, so be it. Most of you are accustomed to safer environs; I'm accustomed to my surroundings. Having encountered brackish water crocs before when my boat engine died one moonless evening in a mangrove area (they kept bumping the boat all night till dawn, hoping to tip it over), I know how nasty they can be.

Thanks. I am lucky and do count my blessings. None of the wildlife I encountered will ever be as dangerous to me as other humans. Bad memories of parang fights with bugis and tausug people. In English, a parang is a machete.

I think you're lucky, too, and, obviously, level headed in maintaining your 'cool' in situations.
