Guys, I think there is really no need to argue. Everybody will have a prefered machine which often depens on personal taste or preferences.

Christian

Good finds. I will have to go back to England, Wales and Ireland and visit them again but this time as a MDer. Can I take my Ace on the plane?

Yep, normally no problem. Some airlines (Airports) you have to declare them as special luggage, but I would take a treasure hunting magazine (Just in case they ask what it is), and carry it as hand luggage unless you want it to dissappear on the way ??  Wise

That just makes you human, mate. A week ago, I cracked open a brand new bottle of Bourbon - McKennon's. Mmmmmmmmm . . .

Had two doubles and started feeling mellow. Good thing I was already at home. Nice Bourbon. I was very mellow.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

From the land of the Bluenose....nice selection of coins and rings.  Was over your way in May and never thought about  swishing (water hunting).  Maybe next time across the pond!  Looking forward to seeing your future posts.

Smiley Ah, I'm quite familiar with the process of sending someone there!   Grin
But seriously, I think its most excellent that everyone has a different choice as their favorite detector, because that means that maybe if I search an area that someone else has already searched with different equipment, I might easily find something theyve missed!  Different machine, different size coil, ect...
