I will be going to metal detect in the Galveston Texas area in about a week and I was hopeing someone can point me I the general direction of a good beach to hunt. Also I have read about pirate treasure somewhere down there and was wondering if anybody has ever come up with any?

HA HA HA Don't think we will answer that one.

Try Sterward Beach and East Beach at low tide in the wet sand and work the dry sand during high tides. If you can water hunt try infront of the hotels along the seawall.
