Welcome to THunting.com.

We could say "the one that works", but that isn't the answer you are looking for.

There is no simple answer to that question, especially since there are all kinds of questions to ask and answer before you can decide which metal detector is the right one for YOU to use at the beach.   For instance:

1)   What is your budget?
2)   Are you one of those people that has to have a new detector, or are you the kind who would prefer a used detector?
3)   Are you going to use it only (or at least primarily at the beach 75% of the time or more)?
4)   Salt water or fresh water or both?
5)   Are you only going to hunt the dry sand portions of the beach, or are you planning on wading out waist deep or deeper?   (for that matter, if you're going to only go in knee deep and you're in an area where there is significant wave action or slippery conditions, you have different considerations than you do if you don't expect to get the control housing wet)
6)   Do you plan on using it snorkeling or diving?

There are probably other questions that should be asked and answered, but until you answer these any answer given might or might not be the right one for you.
