Go Up Go Down

Yesterday, just off the surf and about 6" down I found a fire hydrant cap. It was too heavy to carry around, and I don't have a car. Lucky for me there was a parks dept worker in a truck going by. Showed it to him and he just told me to throw it in the back. He didn't seem too surprised by the find. Sorry but I don't have a camera phone so no pictures. I can just image the look on my wife's face if I came home with that thing. Shocked Angry

Go Up Go Down

Hi there
I have found some amazing things on the beach.
Once I gridded a surf beach and in my first line got a good sound going to null, this kept repeating each time I lapped, (*&$% it I thought), stopped and dug up a very long (8 foot) surf club pole complete with the remnants of a flag!
However the strangest find, whilst detecting a place of historical significance, at the time and looking for old coins, got a very very faint reading on my E-trac, the cross hairs swung around a bit which was fairly unusual, the location had no power lines or visible electronic interference, so started digging. after nearly 30 minutes of hand digging, I found a V8 engine!
I left it there for the next bugger!
I want to find a pair of gold clad dentures, and more power to those that have!
Cheers
Bazza

Not sure if you want to call it strange, but last fall I found a silver looking cylinder, and then remembered where I had seen one before. It was in a drug store. It was A vile that people put pills in. Most use it to put their nitroglycerin in. BUT that isn't what was in it. It was half full of cocaine and a small straw. I quickly emptied it out. Never thought I would dig that up in the surf.

I know folks who probably would have done other things with it. I personally would have sold it cheap to finance another detector... but that's just me. Grin

Peace

Sean
