Over the summer I found this tiger while hunting the beach at Virginia Beach. I know it had to have been lost by some child, but I can't for the life of me figure out where they got it from. It is very heavy and made of solid brass or bronze. Looks like something that would have been made in the 50s or 60s. It measures 2 1/8" long by 1 5/8" high and weighs 4.25 oz.  Just goes to show, you never know what will show up in your scoop.

Somehow it does not look like a childs toy to me. Are there any mountings on it, holes, clips, grooves, threads &c.?

It has nothing attached to it. You can see a cast line down the back. There are no identification/manufacturers marking anywhere on the casting. The front side of the casting from the underside of the mouth to the base, has what looks like grinder marks.
