Hi Everyone
Newbie here, although i plan on using my new Titan 2000XD mainly for use inland, i want to use it on the beach (ocean) in a couple weeks, but i have read a couple of times to stay off the beach if you don't have a MD made for it. How true is this. The main reason I'm concerned is not so much the salt but the sand. The Titan has a sealed control box with no knobs and no openings that i can see except for the headphone jack, and the coil is waterproof (I'm finding most are) . I guess my question is could i, should i, use it on the beach? Thanks in advance for your help.

John

I've had no problems with my detectors ON the beach (at least as far as damage to the detector goes).....I'm not sure how close I'd take a few of them to the waves.

Hi

It would do OK on dry sand, but not on the wet. It's there that specialty detectors will make the difference.
