I can use a minelab DD coil on my TDI, but can I use a vlf DD also, or is there a real problem with that?

There are companies, like Coiltek for example, who make aftermarket coils for a variety of brands. Check with your local dealer to see if they can advise you.

It's also customary to introduce yourself in the New User Introduction forum so go there and tell us a bit about yourself. You won't regret it. This is a very friendly place. Welcome!

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hi Ozzygold

Coils are made to suit a particular detector with it?s particular characteristics should these be the same it may work but have you ever tried to mach two DNA?s as far as I?m concerned it?s better to get the coil from a reputable distributor it?s like GD said they will be able to give you all the information that you need.

Regards Xavier
